Giannis Farsaris
Computer Science Teacher
I am a Computer Science educator and author, actively engaged with the Digital Commons, Artificial Intelligence, and the creative freedom of the Internet.
I was born in 1973 in Ierapetra and currently live in Heraklion, Crete. I studied Computer Science at the University of Crete, Adult Education at the Hellenic Open University, and playwriting at the “Pyrodotisis Workshop” of Poreia Theatre.
I serve as Secretary of the Ethics Committee of the Hellenic Informatics Union, editor-in-chief of the PLHROFORIKOS magazine, and coordinator of the Open Courses initiative and the Reboot podcast.
I created the Open Library, participate in the editorial team of the literary magazine Fractal, and am a founding member of the Organizing Committee of the Student Festival of Digital Creativity.
I have published books on artificial intelligence and digital creativity, as well as theatrical plays and collections of flash fiction.
